Summer time, and the living is easy....
In the summer months, the mountains turn a spectacular green, the flowers bloom and the birds sing. The town takes on a hazy laid back personality while cyclists, hikers, golfers and parapenters gather to take in the sunshine and enjoy their chosen sports.

Mountain Biking:
With the World Cup downhill track at Les Gets, and a multitude of tracks served by our uplift system, the Portes du Soleil has become a downhill mountain biking Mecca with plenty of tracks to keep the cross country enthusiast happy too.
If you prefer tarmac then there are some punishing road routes which were part of the 2006 Tour de France.
Morzine is one of the most popular summer destinations for cyclists with 650 km of sign-posted routes and 25 open lifts across the 14 French and Swiss resorts of the Portes du Soleil region.
DH:
Morzine became one of the first French resorts to boast a permanent MTB downhill run in 1996.
There are 7 permanent downhill courses in the Portes du Soleil area which total over 27 km with a vertical drop of 4273m and include the World Cup course at Les Gets.
All the trails are easily accessed by the chairlifts and cable cars.
XC:
You will find single track, gnarly technical descents, tough climbs, fire roads, scenic lakeside trails and fantastic views across the mountain ranges.
The trails are marked in the same way as ski runs according to difficulty to help you plan a suitable route and the lift system provides quick and easy access.
You will also find mountain restaurants and bars dotted along the trails to keep you refreshed throughout the day.
